Fieldsports Photographer of the Year

The Fieldsports Journal hosts the Lecia Fieldsports Photographer of The Year annually. I have managed to get in the top ten and commended several times, in other words close enough to winning to get published in the magazine, but I've never managed to win any of the categories. The photograph below go into the top ten in the Gamekeeping category. My friend and his dogs have provided me with great photographic value over the years

This one did well in the Gun Dogs section. I happened to roll up just before he released his labradors from the back of the Land Rover.

Band Of Beaters

Imitate, Emulate, Innovate. People sometimes ask me where I get my ideas or what inspired me. Well, you start by trying to copy, then you copy but improve on the original, eventually you come up with your own idea, (which you find later somebody, somewhere has already done). Here is one of mine in the emulate stage. I'd often admired the promotional photo for Steven Spielbergs mini series" Band of Brothers". Just google it!
